What is an indoor hitting league?
- Four-man teams compete for points during a six-inning game in the batting cages
- Leagues meet same day of the week beginning the first week of October and ending the first week of December (off Thanksgiving week)
- Each hitter gets one warm-up inning of five pitches
- Each hitter gets seven pitches to make five swings each inning
- POINTS awarded for areas of cage where ball is hit into
- A “dedicated” scorekeeper is provided for each game
What is the point system?
- Minus-1 if ball hits top of net
- 0 – swing and miss or foul back
- 1 – any grounder forward
- 2 – line drive into sides of net in front of L-screen
- 3 – line drive off L-screen
- 4 – line drive into sides of net past L-screen
- 6 – line drive to back of net
Age Groups: (Spring season age)
- 10-and-under (40 mph pitching)
- 11-12 (50 mph)
- 13-14 (60 mph)
- 15-18 (70 mph)
Schedule:
Cost: $75/player or $300/team – Guaranteed seven weeks, plus playoff week for top teams
